The IPPF is a distinguished and active lady.

Distinguished because it succeeded the International Penal and Penitentiary Commission of the League of Nations in the middle of the twentieth century and kept a quasi-governmental status approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Active since in the international concert of the “advisers of the Prince”, it tackles difficult topics such as prevention, security and imprisonment, with open spirit and independence of mind.
